History
Scott ChandlerTowTech Performance was started and is owned by world-class surfer Scott Chandler. Scott Chandler was raised in Carlsbad, California. Chandler was an early high school competitor at the NSSA amateur circuit. His competitive edge helped his high school win a surf team championship and sprung him to compete as a pro in PSSA and ASP events. He placed in the top 15 various times on the PSSA tour and had great showings in ASP events.

As longboarding began to gain popularity in the mid-90's Chandler competed in the ASP and finished in the top 16 consecutive years. After competing in events such as the PSTA, he was invited to the 1997 World Championships in Hawaii and finished in the top 3. He has also been very successful in placing among the world's elite in the tube riding championships in Puerto Escondido Oaxaca, Mexico.

Shaping An Industry
Scott chandler has been shaping surfboards since 1983. During the mid 80s he had the opportunity to work with industry leading shapers Dick Brewer and Owl Chapman in Hawaii. The past few years Chandler and Brewer have collaborated with world champion tow surfer Garrett Mcnamara to create indusrty leading designs. A tow surfer himself, Chandler has combined his experience and passion for the sport as it is evident in his products. Recently working with Rusty Presindorfer at his shop in San Diego has kept Scott's designs equally dynamic as they are innovative, and helped make TowTech Performance's products a leader in the industry.
